Wallace Allan Danielson
1925 ~ 2009
Our wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Wallace Allan Danielson, lifelong resident of Springville, Utah, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2009. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He was born in Springville on April 7, 1925 to Axel and Clarice Danielson, the oldest of four children. He was a very caring brother and son. He attended schools in Springville and graduated from Springville High School in 1943. He attended Brigham Young University. He enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps and served in the Philippines during World War II. He was proud to serve his country and received an honorable discharge at the conclusion of the war.
Upon returning to Springville he met and married his lifelong and eternal companion, Phyllis Kindred. They were married June 4, 1948. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on April 25, 1964. Together they had five daughters; Colleen, Kaye, Karen, Nedra, and Nancy who died as an infant.
He was a faithful member of the LDS church and was known as an outstanding ward and stake financial clerk. He was respected for his honesty, integrity and efficiency. He also served for many years as a member of the Hobble Creek Stake High Council. His most cherished calling was serving for 61 years as the Patriarch of his family.
Allan worked for Geneva Steel in accounting and industrial engineering for over thirty years until the plant closed. He then worked as an accountant for Water Works in Salt Lake City and at the Spanish Fork Foundry. He was always a dependable and valued employee and was appreciated and well liked by his fellow workers.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He had the amazing capacity to make every family member feel like they were Grandpa Wally's favorite. For over thirty five years Allan, along with Phyllis, organized a family campout to Wasatch Mountain State Park. These annual campouts became the highlight of many family traditions that will be cherished by his family and continued for generations to come.
Of Allan's many hobbies, two of his most favorite were playing Rook and golfing. His happiest moment on the course was the day he scored an ace on hole number 10 at Hobble Creek while playing with his sons-in-law.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis, daughters Colleen Thurston-Riverton, Utah; Kaye (Scott) Frischknecht-Centerville, Utah; Karen (Chris) Sorensen-Springville; Nedra (Todd) Asay- Aloha, Oregon; a brother Gene; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Nancy, his parents, his brother DeMar, his sister Audrey, and twin great grandsons.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hobble Creek West Stake Center, 555 South 600 East, Springville, Utah. A viewing will be held on the evening of Thursday, December 10th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville. Friends may also visit from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to funeral services at the church. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.

A weekend in St Geroge
Last weekend we went down to St George so Danny, my mom and Kim could run the Snow Canyon half Marathon. (I didn't run because of my dumb knees) We had such a great time. Its always nice to have a fast little trip.
So I have started a new job. I am still at the Dentist office but just doing something new. I now do the kids hygiene. I am now working 9-5 three days a week. I love it it is so much fun. I still have Thursday and Friday off so that is nice. Danny and Zack have both been so good to help out.
I just have to say how much I love being married. I am married to the best man in the world. I am thankful for him everyday. I know some people think they might have the best husband but I am sorry to say that yours my be good but he takes second place to mine... Today we have been married 7 months and I couldn't be any happier.

She wanted to Kiss me
Zack does not look a thing like me. He is smarter at 6 then I am at 27. He is athletic, funny, I could go on and on about all the ways he is not like me. Why oh why did the one thing he got form me have to be girl (mine was boy) crazy? He loves them and they love him right back. He is in 1st grade and I am already worried about the years to come.
First it was that he was holding hands with two girls under the desk in class so the teacher wouldn't see. Then I went to pick him up early one day and when I walked into the lunch room there is Zack on a lunch table with 13 girls and just him. He then had to hug them all. One poor little girl some how was missed and she broke down crying saying, " please Zack don't go" Then one of the little girls volunteered to walk him to class so he could get his backpack. Then she hopped on his back and he gave he a little lift. I am walking next to them feeling a little out of place.
Everyday when I pick him up I know the first thing he is going to talk about is his ladies... Becca, Kate, Annalee, and so on. One day he said," Mom Becca told me she loved me. and asked if I loved he too. I told her I did because I do."
Yesterday was nothing new. I was hoping it would be a few more years (10 maybe) before he told me this. "Mom today when I was with my reading tutor she asked if she could kiss me" you better not have kissed her. "mom I told her no" How old is she? "2nd grade"
I have no idea what we are going to do with him. Cross your fingers he doesn't have a baby before Danny and I do.

I don't know about the rest of you but I am so happy its fall. I love love summer, but there is always something refreshing about fall. A new start if you will. Kids are back in school, bed times are back in force, the gym is calling once again begging you to get your lazy but back. If you live in good old Utah Valley The roar of the Cougar is in full swing. All in all life is good.

Back to school
Now that school is back and summer is done I am hoping things will slow down a little and I can get back to blogging.
Zack started first grade last week and is loving it. I don't know why I was even worried that he would have a hard time making new friends. He is Mr social. As of yesterday he was holding hands with two girls under the desk so the teacher wouldn't see. So should I be worried about him making friends? No. Should I worry about him for other reasons? YES. I guess he is a little to much like me in some ways.
Life for the Love Birds has been a little crazy. Good but crazy. We turned our garage into a apartment and 4 BYU students are moving in this weekend. So that is has taking a lot of time trying to get ready for that. SO far married life is great. I love having my own little family. Zack is happier then ever and I couldn't wish for anything more. (well maybe a baby, but that will have to wait for a few more months. Unless I can trick Danny) I am so lucky to have such a great husband and little man. I have a great job that I love with great people . The best family and good friends. Life is good :)
I could not get these is the right order sorry. Zack on his way to get his two front teeth pulled. Notice the two front teeth are now one
Zack being zack on the first day of school
Loves the gas just like his mama
Yet another Zack moveDr Hillam getting the teeth out
How cute is he?
First day of schoolStill a little numb. He did great no crying from this little man!

Bad Blogger
I know I should be kicked out of the blogging world club. I don't know why I have been so bad at it.
We have been having a great summer. (If you don't count the rain every time we try to have a party out back.)
In the end of June we ran the Wasatch back. It was fun the weather was not the best but still nice. This is the 4Th time I have ran it and I don't think I will do it again next year. It's not that its not fun but just need a break from it. But if my family all did it again I'm sure they could talk me into it. So we will see
I have been working a few days a week and I love it. The girls I work with are the best and I could not ask for better Doc's. I still have lots of time to be with the little man.
Zack just finished swimming lessons. He did so good. I am hoping he will become super good and make us lots of money.(come on times are ruff whatever we can do for a few extra bucks)
I cant believe that summer is almost over. It has gone by so fast. It has been so fun to be a little happy family. I love Danny so much. I am so lucky to have him. He is a great husband and a amazing dad. Zack loves him so much. It is so fun to see them together and something we have been waiting for for so long.
I am going to get better at blogging

crazy life
I have been one bad blogger. I am so sorry. Things have been kind of crazy. I went back to work at the dentist office. I am working for Dr Hillam. He is so so nice. It is perfect because it is 2 blocks from our house so I can just walk. It only takes 4Min's. I just work 3 days a week. Monday all day. Tuesday and Wednesday till 1:00. I get about 20 hrs a week. Its just right. It will be great once Zack is in school all day.
We don't have a camera right now so all you will be getting for the next little while is just movies. Here are a few to tickle your fancy.
Zack just finished kindergarten. He did so well and loved it. I think he is going to miss all his little friends he made, but we know Zack and know he will have no problem making new friends at his new school next year.
Also he is playing T-ball so here is a little clip of him doing that too.
My work ran a little race and so Zack and I did it. It was a 5k and he did good. We did have to walk some of the time, he was a little worried his legs might fall off. We got lucky they didn't. Danny wanted to run a few more miles so he ran to the race and cheered us on. It was so fun to have someone at the end of the race waiting for us.
We are loving being a little family. I am so thankful everyday for Danny and the blessing he is to our lives..
Well I will try to be a better blogger.

married Life
Well so far so good...... We are having fun. It has been kinda crazy. The day we got married was the perfect day. The weather was nice. The temple was amazing. I loved walking into the room and seeing all of our loved ones dressed in white. It meant the world to us to have so many people that love us there.
Then we came out took lots and lots of pictures (we don't have them yet) and then we went to Scaldoni's for the wedding luncheon. My brothers both gave a little talk as well as my dad. It was so sweet. Then Danny and Devin sang as song. After the song Devin gave a little talk about Danny and then his sisters gave a cute little talk followed up by his dad, Leland. It was fun to hear what they had to say.
Then we hopped in the car and drove to Vegas. That was one long drive..............
The next morning we left the Trump Hotel and were off to the Las Vegas Airport to catch our plane to Puerto Vallarta Mexico. We actually made it safely to our resort in Nuevo Vallarta called the Grand Mayan. It was beautiful. There were so many restaurants, pools, types of transportation around the resort (i.e. Boats, Gondolas, Train, Buggie Carts). The pool's went on forever and they had the best frozen lemonades. The gym/spa was so nice too. We (Danny) spent a few hours each day in the spa/sauna and steam room relaxing...We ate and ate and then ate some more. One of our favorite classes was an aqua spin class. It was just like Spin class but in the water on modified bikes. We also had a massage out side in a private cabana. It was all so fun. Time just went by way to fast.
Then after a week of fun it was time to come back home :( To bad our canceled flight happened to be in AZ and not in Mexico! Once we made it home it was time to get ready for the open house. We worked non-stop for the next four days getting things ready with the help of our both of our families!!!!!! Cleaning the house, working in the yard, cleaning the pool and so on. Once Saturday came and it was still raining and we could see it was not going to stop so we had to change things up and move the open house inside. Who would have guessed that in late April it would rain, hail, and snow all in the same day? When all was said and done it turned out perfect. We could not have done it with out all of our families helping us. Danny's brothers mowing the lawn (not to mention the next door neighbors lawn too! His lawn was so long and it was bugging me so Greg went ahead and did it too. Thanks!) My brothers were busy washing the windows. My mother, mother-in-law and sister-in-laws were cleaning, planting flowers, tying and making bows and doing so much more.
Thank you to all that came. It was so fun to see you and have a moment to chat with each of you.
Now that the wedding stuff is all over we are now just playing house. Dad, Mom and son. It's amazing. I have what I have wanted and waited for my whole life. I am so lucky. Danny is the best thing in the world and I love him so much. Zack has also done so good with all of the "changes" that have transpired. We didn't know how he would do but it seems like he has also wanted this forever too. He wakes up before Danny goes to work so he can say good bye to his Dad and can't wait for him to get home from work. All in all my life is great...what else could I want? Nothing!!!!!
One night we took a little boat ride out to this neat remote place that had no power or running water to eat dinner and watch a show that was just incredible.
ABOVE: This is why I gained 3lbs...I loved their french toast breakfast buffet!

I love my mom

Many of you know I am the only girl in my family. Growing up I wished from time to time that I had a sister like all of my friends. That would never last that long because I have the worlds best mom. Who was not only my mom but my best friend.
My mom was always mom first but best friend was so close. I could always talk to her about anything growing up and even now I still do. I can only think of one time when I was like oh my gosh I don't like my mom and that was my only 17 year old fault. (don't stay out to late or your mom will come get you a 2am from your boyfriends house)
My friends always felt welcome in our home and could talk easy with my mom. Even if she caught you making out she would still love you. Right Erin. Or if you wanted to drive past a boys house she was on it.
I have been so lucky to have such a wonderful mother like her. Over the past 6 years our friendship has grown even more. She was the one who would rub my tired fat feet when I was great with child. She was also the one that said, " Nancy I love you and know your sad but you need to get out of bed put down the cookies and live." We would go on walks after work everyday. She went to my baby classes with me she was and still is my rock.
I am going to miss her so much when we move. I know I am only ten minutes away from her but I have only been 10 steps away from her. Its going to be hard and I will miss her like crazy.
I hope if I have a daughter some day I can be as good as a mom to her as my mom is to me. I love you mom. Thanks for being the worlds best mom and best friend all in one!

Wow time goes fast when you are in love and getting ready for a wedding (kinda gay I know but true)
So we went down to St George for our Bridals yesterday. We wanted to do all the temple picture early so the day we get married we don't even have to worry about it we can get the shoots with the family and go. It was an amazing day the weather was perfect and the day could not have gone better.
Mikki is great and I know the pictures will turn out great. My camera is broken :( I want to get a new one in the next month. Anyway we did get one of us that my mom took with my phone..

40 more days

Yes it is true only 40 more days then I will become Mrs Bird. I can't wait I am so excited. We have got so much done and now it seems we are just finishing things up. It seems like I have waited so long for this day to come. Its has been 6 years and well worth the wait. I love Danny so much he is such an amazing man. One of the good things about being older when you get married and for that fact being married once already is that going into you know that it's going to be hard. When you are 18 you have rose colored glasses on and think nothing could ever go wrong. I think Danny and I both know its going to be hard and different for both of us. We have both been alone for a long time and have a set way of doing things. One is not better then the other(well mine just a little) I just can't wait I am so excited. I just cant wait. I will get my little family after all.

The life of a 5 year old

I some times wonder how a little 5 year old could be your best friend. I have the best little man in the world. I love to have our Zacky mommy dates. The other night we did a little shopping and then went to dinner.
We had to go and get his little suit fitted for the wedding. He was just so big. You could see in his eyes how cool and big he felt. He stood so tall and still so the man could get it just right.
We did a few other thing and then after a big bump on the head form the Gap we were off to dinner. He wanted to go to the Trolley. We shared a banana milkshake and both had hamburgers. It's amazing to me that you can have so much love for someone. He is such an out going kind and loving kid. He loves anyone and everyone he meets. You say hi and he is your new best friend.
You know the song that says " have I done any good in the world today?" well I may not do to many things right but I think I have done at least one thing right in my life and that is Zack.
