We are at day two and so far we are doing good. Not that you want a run down of whats been going on but I will give you one anyway.
Sunday night was easy the kids just went to bed. and with out a fight so that was nice.I did a lot of laundry
Monday morning they all got up around 7:30 I fixed a little breakfast eggs and toast. Then the two oldest boys were off to school at 9. I made the 3 little ones get into the tub while I cleaned up breakfast and did a little more laundry. By the time I got out of the shower it was time for lunch, a little frozen pizza and mango. Then did a little more laundry and the Skyler was off to school. Jordan, Zack and I ran to the store to get a few things for the week. It was early out day so they all got home around 2:30. They did homework and played until dinner. We had a little pasta with white sauce and chicken (this was what Jaxon wanted) watermelon, carrots and a roll. We had two baseball games tonight so that took up the rest of the evening. When we got home they wanted a little snack so we made Oreo milkshakes. Going to bed was a little harder tonight they wanted to stay up. I moped the floor and did a little more laundry and went to bed.
Tuesday: Well kinda a the same thing this morning. Sweet rolls and fruit for breakfast. Then all the boys were ready to go by 8:30 some how. I am sure they think I am mean I make them help me clean, they all had to clean a bathroom and put their cloths away. So now Skyler, Zack and Jordan are watching a movie and playing. Once Skyler goes to school I have some of my own things I need to run and do. We have another baseball game tonight and I am keeping with taco Tuesday, so looks like today will be a good day too.

Adventures In Babysitting

What a great movie this was I think Christie and I watched it a million times. I never knew that I would be taking on my own Adventures In Babysitting!
So the people I clean for, Dave and Adri are going on a trip and asked if I would watch their kids for a week while they are gone. At first I was thinking NO WAY. 4 boys plus Zack, then when they waved a little money in my face my answer changed from a big no to a when do you need me.
So stating tomorrow night (Sunday) I am a mom of 5 boys ages 3,4,6,8,and 10. I think it should go good. The two oldest boys are in school all day and then the 3rd goes half day. Its just until Friday afternoon. So what could go wrong?

We made it!
Well what can I say we made it! No I will not be the new spokes women for tri- events but I just might do another one someday.
We had such a great time. The weather was so nice and sunny. We were able to swim and be outside most of the time. I don't think Zack has ever had so much fun in his life. He made 10 new friends that he has not stopped talking about and cant wait for the next time he gets to see them.
He also had his first sleep over! It was a million times harder for me then him. I was so happy he wanted to go and stay with the kids but kinda sad he didn't miss me at all or was worried that I would not be there if he needed me. I knew the day would come when he wouldn't want to give me a hug and a kiss in front of friends I guess I just didn't think it would come at 4.
Anyway thank you Bird Family for such a great weekend, and thank you so so much for making Zack and I feel so welcome.

Yes I know I look as if I might die at any moment, the sad thing is that I felt good during the run! I will put up more pictures soon (not just ones of me but the weekend and all the kids)

Why TRI?

The day has come for us to head out to what I hope will be sunny St George. The Tri-althalon is this Saturday. I hope I am ready, I don't think I am but its in two days so what can I do now?
Lucky for me it is only a sprint. So we swim 400 meters bike 10 miles and run 3.2 miles. By far for me the swim will be the hardest part. Not that the bike, and swim wont kill me but swimming is not my thing at all. I even took a swim lesson last week and still I don't think that will even help. I am excited because you have to push yourselves sometimes and try new things.
I am just excited for the whole weekend it should be a lot of fun.
Last year Andrea and I did one for all women. It was so much fun so I guess we will see if this one turns out to be fun or if its like child birth, you forget how hard it is until you are in the middle of it!

Happy Birthday Christie!!!
How do you wish someone you have been friends with for 26 years a happy birthday? That is my task at hand.Christie and I have been friends our whole lives. Yes all our lives some people say they have been friends forever but 10 years is not that long. We have been friends sense birth, and we are only 17 days apart so truly its been a long time.
Way back in 1982 our moms (Pat and Karen) would sit next to each other in Relief Society and they would lay us in a blanket next to each other. That is when it all began, I don't think we spent a day with out each other during all of childhood. I was at her house or she was at mine.
We dressed the same cut our hair the same. Would acted like we were twins. ( She was Whitney and I was Brittany) We had so much fun no matter what we did, it didn't take much for us to be happy, give us some barbies and we could play for hours on end.
Once we got a little older you know like 10 we would hope on the old UTA bus and head for the mall. We could spend all day there. Eating pizza, get our pictures taken in that little photo booth buying troll earrings anything.
I remember the days when we would ride our bikes up to japs hill to meet our then super cool boyfriends, Bret Jackson and Chad Robertson. They would give us stuff like earrings and rings if we would kiss them. So we would I mean come on a little kiss for some killer rings!
The fun sleep overs we had staying up late to watch girls just want to have fun or, major legal. Life was so great.
There was the time we (ok me) thought after swimming at the pool you had to shower, which I think was a good idea, just not the naked part. When you 8 nothing is a big deal. Then we would hit the vending machines and get banana moon pies and Dr Pepper, then I'm sure ride our bikes to one of our houses and finish the day off with some barbies.
These are just a few of the great times we had with each other. The older we got the better things got too. Dating, driving. Now I could go on and on about high school. Getting flat tires, getting stuck in the snow at 5am on a doughnut run in tank tops and boxers. And for some reason it always happened in Brown Betty.
26 years later and we are still as good of friends as ever. I know life would not be the same with out her, she is the best and I am so lucky to call her my Best Friend. I wish everyone could be as lucky to have a friend like her. I am looking forward to the next 26 years of friendship. Thanks Chris fir being the best friend a girl could ever have, I couldn't make it in life with out you. Your the best I love you!!!

Coloring King
For the last few days all Zack has wanted to do is color. Not this is a bad thing, it's much better then wanting to watch t.v. all day. Its kinda funny. He has a big yellow dump truck that he has put all the coloring books and markers and such in and halls it around all over the place. He is getting good, staying in the lines and coloring some what normal colors not just blue!
He is such a good boy. I love him so much. I am one lucky mom to have him!!!
