Tee Time

Golf Party:

Today we had Zacks 5th birthday party! It was so fun. It was a golf themed party. They had to golf 5 holes and once they got it in the hole they got prize (thank you to the dollar store.) Then we played a little game and opened the presents and had a little cake and ice cream. It was fun. All the little kids are so fun and cute. Now we re going to go swimming over at Danny's and have pizza. You will get more tomorrow because that is the actual birthday of my little man.

Thank you to Mike, Andrea, Amma, Papa, and Danny!! for all your help with the party. Love ya!

Brothers!!!

What a night. Never in my life have I seen my brother Curt with out a buzzed head. Some people cant pull the look off, he can he looks good. That being said my brother Mike has thick full hair, that has when it gets long will curl, so so cute. Anyway the other night Mike decide he wanted to buzz his head. I don't think Andrea was as happy about this idea as Mike. Long story short Mike now has a new summer cut.
Zack did not want to miss out on the fun and wanted his head to look like his brothers so now all three of them look the same. It was such a fun night.

This is whats new!

I feel like it has been such a long time sense we blogged. Things have been kinda crazy the last few days and the next few weeks are going to be the same.

Zack lost his first tooth today! He seems so little but I guess he is growing up faster then I'd like. He did get his teeth early. They always came in two's he got his first once at 4months old then every two months he got new once. He had all his teeth by the time he was 1.
Its a big day at our house, We are hoping the tooth fairy will come tonight!

Monday Zack's class went to the Zoo for a Field trip. It was fun the kids all loved it. I for some reason was so worried that Zack would get lost or that one of the animals would get out and eat me that I didn't enjoy it all that much, plus once you have been to the Zoo you can not go for a few years and still not be missing out on to much.

A day at the park.

Some friends and I got together and took our kids to the park so they could play. Truth be told its so we can talk and catch up, the park just makes its so your kids have fun too.
The only bad thing is that it was a little windy and most every one has babies. Well all but me so I was fine with Zack being in the wind, he could have cared less. Anyway it was fun and so good to have such great friends you like being with.

T-Ball

Oh what fun. Today was the start of these years t-ball season. This year we are the Giants. You know how t-ball goes no one wins or loses. It was a fun game. Zack did good, and looked like he was having fun.

After the game we ran over to Provo for a birthday party with some of his "cousins" we had a fun time. We ended the night at IHOP yes IHOP. Zack was in the mood for breakfast and it sounded good to me and Danny too. I mean who doesn't love a little french toast?

Zack must have had a good day because he was out in about 30 seconds, yes the sun is still out, and its only about 7:30 :)

yum yum

The number one reason I cant drop 5lbs? I love treats. Any kind What ever you got I want. My goal was to try and get down about 5 more pounds but I cant. I love to bake way to much and there for love to eat these treats. I found this new recipe today and made these cookies I think they are good, at least all the dough I ate was good. Try it and and see what you think. I had to make a few changes on some of the things because I didn't have all they called for. Enjoy

A to Z Everything-but-the-Kitchen-Sink Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground mace (this is kinda the same as nutmeg and I didn't have it so I didn't use it)
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves(I only had whole cloves so I just pinched of the tops and used them)
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup cornflakes cereal, crumbled(we only had frosted flakes so again I used what we had)
3 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup flaked coconut
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips(I am not a fan of semisweet, I am a milk chocolate girl and love love Ghrorardelli. I also used a 5oz symphony bar the kind in the blue pkg. and only used about 1 cup of chocolate chips)
1 cup chopped walnuts ( I skipped the nuts, the symphony bar has almonds so that worked for me)
DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, mace, nutmeg, and cloves; set aside. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in milk and vanilla. Gradually mix in the sifted ingredients until well blended. Using a wooden spoon, stir in the cornflakes, oats, coconut, chocolate chips, and walnuts. Roll the dough into walnut sized balls, and place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets; flatten slightly. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. I found that slightly under baking these yields wonderfully chewy cookies!

Melt My Heart

Over the last five years dating has not been my favorite thing. I have had more then my share of BAD dates in fact I don't even think bad is the right word to use. When some one lets you know over dinner they have a problem with porn, not a great start.
Anyway things have changed for me in the last while. I always believed that there were good guys out there in the world, seeing how all my friends have found great ones and cousins, having two great brothers I knew I couldn't give up hope just yet. I guess the point I am trying to make is that I found someone great.( No I am not getting married) When you are a single mom you look for a few things that you might not have known to look for when your younger. First and for most they have to love kids, and not just any kid your kid. It is so nice to be with someone who understands that bed times are a must and that things will come up at the last second.
I unlike some divorced people am on good terms with my ex( by the way I hate that term that is why I always just say Jake) It is nice to know that who I am with understand this and is good with it, Danny is not just good with it he is great I feel so lucky for that. I am a little nervous to write this post because I don't want to put a Jinx on a good thing but it has to be done. I again am one lucky girl. I could go on and on but think I better just stop now.
This picture is the whole reason for this post. Look at them reading away. What more could I wish for?

I know I have said a million times how lucky I am to have such a great family, but its true. I don't know what I would do with out them.

My dad loves to work in the yard and if you have ever seen our yard you can see what a great job he does. Zack loves to help him and in his little mind the work could not get done with out him. Saturday mornings he can hardly get his cloths changed fast enough to get out and help his Papa. They go to the dump, go gets stuff for the garden hit the hardware store and a whatever else only boys can do. ( I have been told more then once it is just work for boys)
They could and do spend all day out there. I use to think that Zack would get in the way and that it would be harder for my dad to get things done with him out there "helping" but I think Papa enjoys it just as much as the little man. So to say it again I am one lucky girl. These last 5 years have been such a blessing to be with my parents.

Home

We did it! I am so to be home. The week did go by fast and the kids were good but it was time to come home.

Coming to the end

One more day. I must say this has been a good week. It has gone much faster then I thought it would. The boys have been so so good. Tomorrow at this time I will be back home. So here is a run down of how the rest of the week went.
Tuesday went good, like I had said more baseball game and taco Tuesday. Going to bed seems to be a little harder each day, but hey they went and what more could I ask for.
Wednesday:I went for the easy breakfast this morning cold cereal and toast. I think this has been the favorite meal of every kid so how can you go wrong. Once Bradyon and Jaxon got off to school I tryed to run on the treadmill, but one little child (Zackary) keep coming to let me know whenever anyone looked at him in anyway that didn't seem to fit his normal little life. This has been kind of a eye opener to him that other families don't all just do what he wants when he wants. Zack went with Jake for a few hours then we picked him up and all headed to Wingers for dinner. Thanks to Dannys help it went off with out a hitch, they loved him. Then we ran to my parents to say hi and have a little ice cream. Zack loved to show them all his things. It was a nice little change and made the night go fast. Then home we came and went to bed.
Thursday: I don't know if it was because they know its near the end or that I know that this morning was ruff. Nothing could get done. Eating, showering, homework finding shoes. The rest of the afternoon was more of the same. Zack and Jordan were both so so tired and needed a nap so I out them in the car and drove around for a half hour, until they both feel asleep. We didn't get to far just drove around looking at all the nice homes up this way. Nap time gave me time to get things picked up and dinner ready, not the worlds best but how can you go wrong with Chicken and Rice? They three older boys were good to help me clean I tryed to make it fun and made them pick two jobs out of a bowl and told them who ever got their jobs done first got to pick a game to play. I didn't know if they would fall for this as a true game but they total did it was great. Then we ate dinner and played a little more. My parents came to get Zack and take him home. He needed to get back home. My mom never works on Fridays so it will be good for him to have the one on one he has become to use to. The kids kinds fought to go to bed again tonight but all were asleep with in 10mins. I am going to mop the floor and head to bed.
Sorry this is kinda dumb but this is what the week has been, not dumb but dumb to you readers.
